New managing director at Micro Matic Ltd, UK

I regret to advise that Julian Ferguson-Davie will be retiring as managing director of Micro Matic Ltd at the end of March, at which time Julian will be appointed non executive director of the same company. When Julian joined us 1 April 2008, it was always clear that he wished a contract limited to two years, the main reason being the distance between Julian´s home and our office in Blackburn.

During his two years as managing director, Julian has led Micro Matic Ltd through an extremely difficult time, impacted by the loss of a major customer contract as well as the downturn in the market. However, through his experienced management style, Julian has secured that Micro Matic Ltd during this period has retained its market position and indeed developed positively in a number of areas. For this, I thank Julian as well as the rest of the team in the UK.

To replace Julian, we have appointed David Nugent. David has many years of experience from the international and English drinks and pub industry. We wish David the best of luck with his new challenge.
